The foundation for all their solutions within their companies suite is a set of containerized services running inside a Kubernetes environment. Therefore, one of their primary goals is the empowerment of all software development teams to take full ownership of their part of the overall AI pipeline from identifying the requirements to testing and deploying the latest implemented features on their own in a CI/CD manner. Hereby, the company’s infrastructure team’s responsibility is the setup and maintenance of the necessary underlying
server environments, so that automation, e.g., for building testing, or deploying new things is stable and scaleable. In addition, since they work with sensitive data from our customers, they always need to make sure that communication, data transfer, and deployed services are secured and fit their high data security
standards.
Your Role:
- You’re responsible for driving the development of AI Studio, our core orchestration tool built on top of Java, with the goal of reaching the next level in terms of scalability, performance, and stability as a foundation for our currently growing number of customers.
● You act as a servant leader for one of our software teams in an agile environment, supporting them by prioritizing and clarifying needed functionalities as well as discussing potential solutions and their implications.
● You synchronize regularly with all relevant stakeholders (e.g., other teams, management, customer, users) to collect and clarify requirements.
● You make sure that the delivered software meets previously identified requirements and is of high quality by following or improving robust quality assurance processes and practices.
● You maintain the backlog and the roadmaps of the teams and ensure that working packages are always well-prepared and provided to the teams on time.
● You participate in customer project meetings to technically discuss first-of-kind data integration scenarios.
● You are asked to constantly challenge the status quo and make suggestions for improvements to the current software architecture.
Your Skills:
- You have multiple years of experience in leading a software team within an agile environment
● You know the typical agile principles and frameworks such as Kanban, Scrum, or Team Topologies and have worked with them in common tools (e.g., Jira)
● You have profound experience in software engineering itself, i.e., you worked hands-on in a software product (ideally with a Java context)
● You are familiar with state-of-the-art software development principles around Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment.
● You are good at breaking down complex problems into parts and finding different solution alternatives
● You love to work in a structured way within a team and independently
● You enjoy interacting with people and have excellent communication skills in both, German and English
● You are good at balancing the priority of different development goals and making decisions that contribute best to an overarching vision.
